[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ere’s my brief bio: I’m Ashley and I live in the suburbs of North Texas with my husband, two elementary age girls, a CRAZY Goldendoodle puppy and one mostly outdoor cat who is less than thrilled about the puppy.

Remy the Doodle is currently my #1 garden foe because he is passionate about chewing garden markers. We are a humorous bunch who tries to handle life’s difficulty through love and laughter (most days).

With ZERO background in gardening, I planted my first herb garden because I was missing nature and the connection I felt with God when I spent time outside. With each season, my love for herbs has grown. They are incredibly easy to grow. They are beautiful. They are tasty. They heal. Humanity has been using herbs since the dawn of time. What’s not to love?

I did NOT love was my lack of organization when it came to planning and using my herbs. There were many things I could be doing to make my life easier. For example, I was terrible at planning my herb gardens. I would order seeds and plants and never think about them again until they arrived on my doorstep ready to be planted.

My entire life would be put on hold as I scrambled to buy soil, figure out where to place them, actually plant them, etc. I was completely stressed because I didn’t plan.  The worst offender?  I would FORGET to use my herbs.  For shame!

Thus, “Thyme Times” was born. Thyme Times serves as  my ongoing collection of research,  tips, inspiration, recipes, and all the FUN and EASY ways to you can use your herb garden.  The mission at Thyme Times is to encourage, inspire and REMIND you (and me) of all the fantastic things we can do when we grow herbs.  Life shouldn’t be taken too seriously…Neither should Herb Gardening!
